Worship Leader/ Songwriter, Chris Tomlin, has launched this site as a resource for worship leaders. This site is packed with chord charts, devotional thoughts on current worship songs, and instructional videos on how to play Chris' songs.
This site also provides an inside look at the gear used by Daniel Carson, Chris Tomlin's electric guitar player.
Let's face it... David Crowder and his band are pushing the envelope of creativity in worship like no one else! This site has a few great features. First of all, if you go to the recordings section, the chord charts and guitar tabs are provided for almost every song the band has recorded. Second, the section entitled "the noise" is a great forum on using loops and all types of technological madness in worship. And last, the news section is always good for a laugh when updated.
Charlie Hall is one of the great voices of authenticity in the modern worship movement. His lyrics are inspiring and his music is always innovative. His website offers a few unique things for worship leaders. For starters, all of Charlie's chord charts for his songs are on there. On top of that, his band has been generous enough to provide a complete list of all of the gear that they use. Beyond that, Charlie's site is unique in that he broadens our view of what worship truly is in his section on Missions/Justice Places. This section of the site gives links to a host of organizations around the globe who are seeking to bring the kingdom of God on earth! -- Summit folks will also be happy to see a shout out to David Hodges in the Resource section under "Music we Like"
Published by Vineyard Music, Inside Worship is a great resource for worship leaders and the teams of worship leaders that they labor alongside in leading a church to worship the Savior. Inside worship provides a multitude of articles on leading worship, playing in a worship band, singing backgroung vocals, working alongside your pastor to create a worship service, songwriting, and many other topics pertinent to worship leaders. There are also audio files from worship leaders such as Brian Doerkson, talking on issues of leading worship and songwriting. While there are not a lot of bells and whistles on this site, it is a wealth of information!
One of the questions that I am asked most often by new worship leaders is, "How do you plan a worship set?" So this document is a short attempt to answer that question by giving a variety of different methods.
